Trompe l'oeil riveted metal plating defines the Special Edition 400% Steampunk BE@RBRICK ROYAL SELANGOR, evoking the guttural roar of a coal-fired furnace, the hiss of steam and all the romance of 19th-century engineering. Cast in pewter and given a graphite-treated bronze finish to simulate weathered iron, selective missing panels expose the automaton’s inner workings of pewter gauges and conduits.

A cartoon-like bear in anthropomorphic form, MEDICOM TOY’s BE@RBRICK debuted in Tokyo in 2001.
